Smothers Specialty Foods is an idea that was planted in the mind of its founder long before the company's inception in March of 2005 by creative genius Steve Smothers. Steve grew up spending many happy times in the kitchen with his mom, Linda. And it was there that he discovered the joy of good food: preparing it, serving it, and of course, eating it. While his older siblings (sister Sue and brother Dick) were off doing other things, Steve was learning the subtleties of creating a wide variety of dishes from many different ethnic backgrounds. As a result, Steve acquired an extensive understanding and deep respect for all cooking styles. As the years passed and Steve got older, he began to experiment with different combinations of flavors, textures and tastes, creating wonderful recipes of his own. Steve has attended cooking school, worked at top restaurants, and has even had his own cooking show on cable television. From growing his own vegetables to hosting dinner parties for friends and family, Steve has experienced many different levels of the world of cooking and food creation. To honor those times he spent with his mom, and the great joy he has for the culinary arts, Steve wants to share that joy with you. And so he has created Smothers Specialty Foods. Enjoy! |
